Please join us for a mentoring session with Jessa Lingel, Associate Professor of Communication at Annenberg and Core Faculty in the GSWS Program; Fusun Ozer, Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine; and Mona Kumar, Professor of Neurology at PSOM. This IN-PERSON ONLY session will be limited to 30 registrants and will feature a combination of structured and open discussions in small groups on important topics such as tenure, promotion, and career planning; work-life balance; taking on leadership roles; time management and delegating; and other topics you bring to the table! The session will last 1.5 hours and lunch will be included.

Amy Addams, Director of Student Affairs Alignment & Holistic Review, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), will provide an overview of the AAMC’s Holistic Review framework as well as effective practices in a post-Harvard/UNC decision environment. She will also answer questions about the current role holistic review plays in the admissions process, the future of holistic review following the recent Supreme Court decision to ban race status-conscious admissions, and the AAMC’s work in increasing diversity in medical school.

Provost John Jackson will welcome all to this special Celebration with five of Penn’s women Deans: Sally Bachman (SP2), Sarah Banet-Weiser (Annenberg), Erika James (Wharton), Sophia Lee (Carey Law) and Katharine Strunk (GSE). For the first time in Penn’s history, half of Penn’s 12 schools are led by women deans. Join us for an engaging conversation as they discuss their journeys to leadership and share insights on navigating the academic landscape. This is a not-to-miss opportunity to draw inspiration and insight from their diverse experiences.
