Dear Penn Community,

I am honored to assume the role as Vice Provost for Climate Science, Policy, and Action, and I’m energized by what we can accomplish together.

Penn is already doing remarkable climate work across every school on campus. Health researchers, engineers, policy experts, business scholars, scientists, urban planners, communication specialists, and so many others are working to address different aspects of this challenge. I believe that it is my job to connect this work, amplify it, and collectively raise our impact across the world.slot gacor

We want everyone to be a part of Penn Climate. Climate change research is multi-disciplinary at its core, and our solutions should be too. We’re here to build partnerships and connections, provide support, and make sure Penn’s climate work reaches the communities who need it most.

My five-year goal for Penn Climate is that Penn is the go-to place that people turn to when they need climate expertise and solutions. I am confident that we can achieve this.

Our work is urgent, but it’s also full of possibility. Penn has the tools, the knowledge, and the people-power to create real change. This isn’t about wringing our hands over dire predictions. It’s about focusing our energy, supporting each other’s efforts, and making sure our work reaches the people and places where it matters most.

Let’s roll up our sleeves and get started. In the coming weeks, my team and I will be reaching out to many community members to learn about your climate efforts and expertise. But please don’t wait for us. Reach out. Share your challenges, your successes, and let us know how we can help your work go further.

With gratitude,

Sanya Carley
