Join SAIP for a panel discussion, Women Overcoming Barriers: Women Empowerment, Civil Wars, and the Refugee Crisis, featuring Maria Borges and Ebonee Davis and moderated by Kimberly Ntsimi. Maria Borges is an Angolan fashion model. She was named Forbes Africa Magazine's top model of 2013, and is the first African woman in this century to cover Elle USA magazine. Ebonee Davis is a former America’s Next Top Model contestant and has worked for Calvin Klein among others. She is most widely known for her activism against racism in the fashion industry. Kimberley Ntsimi is the founder and CEO of the Ntsimi Group. Born in Cameroon to Cameroonian and French parents, she has been featured in publications such as Vogue Italia and the New York Times for her philanthropic accomplishments and has been recognized as one of Africa’s young leaders. This event will be held at the Amado Recital Hall in Irvine Auditorium. Food will be served!
