A Conversation with Elizabeth Beisel

The University Honor Council of the University of Pennsylvania, with support from TrueSport, a grassroots movement powered by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), will host “A Conversation with Olympian Elizabeth Beisel”. The event will be followed by an opportunity to meet Elizabeth and get her autograph!!

Beisel is a three-time Olympic swimmer who swam at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games. She won Silver and Bronze in 2012 and served as one of the Captains of the U.S. Women’s Swim Team at the Rio Olympics. Beisel has served as a TrueSport Athlete Ambassador since 2015, where she promotes the values of ethics, accountability, and clean sport.

The conversation will be focused around the importance of integrity and the lessons Beisel has learned throughout her athletic and academic careers. The event will also include time for audience question and answer. Wesley Ng, who is Head Coach of Penn’s Women’s Rowing Team and previously taught ethics courses at Trinity College, will serve as the event’s moderator. The goal of the event is to continue a broader campus-wide conversation regarding the importance of personal and academic integrity.

This event is open to University of Pennsylvania and local college and university students.
