Kelly Writers House

Kelly Writers House

This vibrant but cozy cottage on Locust Walk serves as a magnet for talented writers on and off campus. KWH hosts more than 300 writing-related projects and programs each year. Readings and discussion panels include Pulitzer Prize winners, journalists, poets, screenwriters, comedians, faculty, alumni, and students. With The Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing, the Kelly Writers House sponsors a literary magazine, travel grants and awards to encourage creativity, summer internships in creative fields, and PennSound, the world's largest archive of free downloadable recordings of poets reading their own poems. Visit the Writers House calendar of events for up to date programming information, or call (215) 746-POEM.
